For a long time, the old Italeri/Bilek moulds were the only game in town & they even resurfaced under a Revell label. But Hobby Boss recently released two versions of the vehicle in 1:35th Scale.
In the process, the Chinese company has raised the bar. That’s not to say the old moulds aren’t worth a go. You could quite happily build those model kits to a reasonable standard.
In fact, we’d be lying if we didn’t admit we had a Revell Scout Car on our “To Build” pile! Even if it is mainly out of pure nostalgia! We still have memories of building it as a little nipper...
So to get you in the mood & to give you a taster for the day that our Scout Car does make if off the Scale War Machines workbench, we thought we’d show you some photographs of a restored M3 Scout Car.
There’s not exactly a large number of these vehicles on the UK show circuit, so this one is noteworthy & definitely worth a once-over.
So rummage in your kit pile, dig out your M3 Models & use these shots to help detail your build.
