Zeltbahn was a weather-resistant covering that was devised by the Germans during World War Two. It could be used by individual soldiers as a poncho to keep the rain off or it could be clipped together to make personnel shelters of different sizes & configurations.
It can be difficult for model makers to capture the look & feel of authentic Zeltbahn but now Medico's D-Tails (Medico’s D-Tails Website) comes to the rescue with a paper-based product. Digitally printed on high-quality paper, it's really easy to use. We deployed the four-man tent on a 1:35th scale Pak40 diorama we are building & you can judge the results for yourself.
