GERMAN RED OXIDE PAINT SET #78.411

This product will help you achieve the weathered appearance of the undercoat seen commonly on German World War 2 tanks.

Called “Oxid Rot”, it was used on all sorts of Axis vehicles under the camouflage scheme. It’s certainly a look that’s “in vogue” nowadays amongst today’s generation of modellers.

The attraction is that the colour particularly suits the current fad for ultra-weathered & washed out paint effects. In addition it’s particularly suited to the painting technique called “Modulation”.

Vallejo’s set (Ref: 78.411) is part of their AFV painting system range. It comes with six bottles of their small 8ml dropper bottles. There’s a primer & then a series of graduated highlight & shadow shades designed to be added in a certain sequence. This is shown on the step-by-step images on the back of the packet.
